GATESOL UNITES to WRITE!

GATESOL Teacher Empowerment

The Process and the Act of Writing as Knowledgeable Stakeholders in the Education of Multilinguals

Gertrude Tinker-Sachs, Ph.D.

The time has come to speak up and speak out by WRITING UP and WRITING OUT what we are seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling and touching around us and in our classrooms!  As educators we are knowledgeable stakeholders in the education of multilinguals in our society, nation and around the world.  As educators, we also use our senses and competencies to advocate for our learners and we draw on our multimodal sensors to break down barriers through our WRITING.  In this first ever GATESOL UNITES TO WRITE whole-day workshop we will WRITE and WRITE and WRITE because we know you have something to say and on this day, we will EMPOWER you to WRITE because you will devote time, energy and community fellowship to take the next step to WRITE!  Products may be published in our GATESOL Newsletter or GATESOL in Action State Journal!
