Macro- and Micro-Scaffolding Practices for Multilingual Learners (11/10/2026)

In this session, educators will explore how to intentionally scaffold instruction to support multilingual learners’ access to grade level content. Participants will examine macro scaffolding, which focuses on sequencing learning across a unit, and micro scaffolding, which focuses on the supports teachers provide during instruction to help students engage with language and content. Teachers will leave with practical strategies for planning and implementing scaffolds that promote both language development and deeper understanding.
